It is through this connection to a rich lineage of image-makers that Michael Jari Davidson works in his passionate dedication to the art and craft of cinematography.
The film, television, and new media industries are a complex intersection of art, business, and technology. It is at this intersection that Michael tirelessly works to bring the writer / director’s concept into reality within the set production budget, creating the desired mood and atmosphere for an appropriate emotional impact. Since filmmaking is a collaborative art form, Michael not only brings his own knowledge and experience to the table, but trustworthy crewmembers and his relationships with equipment rental houses, production insurance companies, and film laboratories.
With five years experience in the industry, Michael has worked in camera, grip and lighting on projects for leaders such as the Canadian Film Centre, the National Film Board of Canada, and Universal Music, as well as a growing number of independent narrative, doc, music video, and corporate works.
